Brake light sequences out from center to either side simultaneously several times to alert drivers behind you that you are stopping. After it goes through the sequence several times it will stay on solid red (brighter than running) until you reingage the brake
Each turn signal will override all other functions and sequence from the center to the side that is activated. The bars add a row as it goes from center to either left or right. Once it reaches the end, it will repeat from center until the turn signal is disengaged. When the brake and signal are activated at the same time, the signal sequences while the brake light stays solid red
